About the Organisation

The Role
Reporting to the Head of Health and Safety, you will be responsible for partnering with stakeholders to ensure best practice Health and Safety systems and processes. You will:
- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Workplace Health and Safety Management system, strategic initiatives, and projects;
- Advise and coach business units in the facilitation of risk assessments, incident investigations and other Health and Safety processes;
- Engage with the business to conduct procedure reviews, inspections, observations, and audits and to coordinate training, consultation, and engagement activities;
- Implement and maintain operational controls for all aspects of WHS including but not limited to Fitness for duty - drugs, alcohol, fatigue, physical and psychological safety, emergency response and the various hazards identified in line with the codes of practice;
- Facilitate high level incident investigations to identify root causes and actions. Share learnings from incidents across the business; and
- Work with the broader Health and Safety team to ensure consistency of approach across WHS advice and support whilst providing coverage to other business units as needed.
About You

- Experience in a similar role within a complex, high risk organisation;
- You're great at building and nurturing productive relationships with stakeholders at all levels, and of many diverse backgrounds;
- You have an effective and engaging communication style to suit varied stakeholders;
- You're also experienced in conducting incident investigations, contributing to the development and implementation of processes and systems; and
- A 'can-do' approach with a continuous improvement mindset and adaptive when needed - this is really important to us!
