How you will make contributions that matter

As the Health and Safety Manager and part of the Allansford site leadership team, you will lead a team of two Health and Safety Advisers to support the Western region to deliver advice, guidance and services on all aspects of occupational Health and Safety. 

Based at our Allansford site, key responsibilities will include:

• Providing specialized Health and Safety knowledge and skills to ensure a safe work environment is developed and maintained
• Participating in Health and Safety committees, internal Health and Safety forums and management meetings
• Building strong relationships with site / functional leaders and teams to ensure effective implementation of risk, incident, contractor and emergency management
• Providing effective reporting and using data and insights to support projects and drive continuous improvement
• Supporting internal governance and compliance on all Health and Safety matters
• Supporting safety incident investigations, providing technical expertise, support and coaching to key stakeholders
• Assisting with the completion of risk assessments on plant, equipment, tools and processes

About you

• Completion of Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or a related qualification (preferable)
• Previous experience in a leadership role, ideally within a warehouse or production environment 
• Strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills 
• Commitment to a strong safety culture
• Comfortable using software applications including MS Office suite and online incident reporting tools
