We are currently seeking a Company Accountant to join our dynamic team, based in Sydney. You will become part of a passionate team of young and motivated individuals who share the common mission of assisting our clients with practical and comprehensive support to nurture growth.
This role is ideal for a proactive and hands-on Company Accountant eager to contribute to and grow with our expanding business. It offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to various aspects, including management and statutory reporting, forecasting, budgeting, KPIs, and more.
About The Role
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Manage day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing processes, general ledger journals and reconciliations.
- Statutory trust accounting.
- Preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, management reports, budgets, forecasts and KPI.
- Assistance during the year-end audit process.
- Cashflow management.
- Ensure timely compliance with relevant statutory and group regulatory policies, (including annual accounts, audits, BAS, PAYG, payroll tax, superannuation, Workers Compensation, AFSL).
- Analyse financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making and business planning.
- Support the senior management team by handling various ad hoc administrative and accounting tasks.
- Ensure maintenance of accurate and up-to-date accounting systems and information.
- Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
About You
- CPA or CA qualified or studying towards.
- A strong technical accounting background.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Consistent ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- A team player who actively participates in idea exchanges.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Advanced MS Excel/MS Office skills
