As the Health, Safety and Well-being (HS&W) Support Officer for our CopperString Major Project, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing HS&W programs, ensuring they are effectively planned and delivered in collaboration with the broader Powerlink team. Your contributions will be vital in developing reports, analysing data, updating project plans, and promoting HS&W initiatives at project offices and sites.
You’ll do this by:
- Coordinating and interface with Powerlink Queensland and Joint Venture teams on HS&W campaigns, fitness for work initiatives, and the Mates program.
- Developing and maintaining tools, resources, and documentation for site delivery teams, ensuring they are up-to-date and effectively implemented.
- Monitoring and maintaining office HS&W requirements, equipment, and well-being facilities.
- Assisting in the creation of HS&W performance reports, conduct data analysis, and manage the project training needs analysis and training matrix.
- Communicating HS&W insights to delivery team managers, develop project HS&W communications, and support Return-To-Work planning as necessary.

Based in vibrant Brisbane or dynamic Townsville, this position reports directly to the Major Projects Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Manager. Become a key player in an energetic and collaborative team passionate about driving excellence in health, safety, and wellbeing!
Your expertise
⦁ Degree level qualification in Qualifications in WHS, Business Administration or Systems Administration coupled with experience in the project delivery environment.
We’d also love you to have:
⦁ Certificate IV or above in WHS, Business or Systems administration ⦁ Return to work officer qualifications
