Responsibilities:
- HSE Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations. Develop and implement site-wide HSE policies.
- Risk Assessment: Identify hazards in dangerous goods storage and transportation, creating and overseeing risk mitigation strategies.
- Training: Design and deliver HSE training programs for employees, drivers, and contractors.
- Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into incidents and non-conformances, implementing corrective actions.
- Emergency Response Planning: Develop and maintain effective emergency response plans for dangerous goods transportation.
- Auditing: Conduct regular audits to verify HSE policy compliance and drive necessary improvements.
- Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement in HSE performance through data analysis and benchmarking.
- Regulatory Liaison: Act as the primary contact for HSE matters with regulatory agencies.
- Minimum Diploma in WHS, Tertiary qualifications in Sciences, Engineering, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of practical experience in HSE roles within logistics/warehousing.
- Experience in safety case development, license applications, and compliance for Major Hazard Facilities.
- Detailed knowledge of HSE legislation and management system standards (ISO45001, ISO9001, ISO14001).
- Desirable: Dangerous Goods and Auditing qualifications/training.
- Experience in managing relationships with internal clients and external stakeholders, including regulators.
