Form of workExciting Opportunity: Health & Safety Superintendent - Exploration
We're seeking an experienced Exploration Health and Safety Superintendent to play a crucial role in implementing and improving our Mine Safety Management System and safety culture across the Exploration team. This role will operate on a rolling 8/6 roster, FIFO from Perth to Port Hedland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively champion the De Grey Lifesaving Behaviours, including support and coaching of leaders to achieve a fatality injury and illness free performance and culture.
- Develop and review of Annual HS Improvement Plans in partnership with Exploration leaders ensuring alignment with broader Company Annual HS Improvement plans, objectives and targets.
- Assist with the development and implementation of a strategic plan, campaigning initiatives and reward and recognition.
- Assist with the preparation and facilitation of regular HS review forums with the General Manager and Senior Exploration Leaders.
- Promote and support excellent customer relations, including participation in Contractor HS review forums as required.
- Assist with the review of tender evaluation and responses relating to HS requirements.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Certificate IV Workplace Training and Assessment.
- Auditing qualifications/training.
- Extensive in-field experience (min 8 years highly desirable) in relevant industries.
- Excellent written communication skills and report writing capability.
- Experience in incident investigations.
- Ability to work effectively with external agencies and regulators.
- Highly competent computing skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
