About Position
The City is seeking a Heritage Education Support Officer for an exciting role reporting to the Heritage Education Officers. The successful appointee will be responsible for providing administrative assistance and customer service to support the development and delivery of Heritage Education and interpretive programs, as well as learning resources for school groups and general visitors which engage the community in the City's heritage and arts collections and stories.
This role may involve undertaking some work outside of standard business hours, which may include weekends. Standard workdays are Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
About You
As a collaborative member of the Heritage Education team, the successful appointee must be able to thrive working in a busy and change driven organisation. Applicants must be able to demonstrate through their CV and covering letter that they meet the following criteria:
- Qualification in a relevant discipline such as education, heritage or museum studies, or relevant experience
- Intermediate experience in administrative and financial processes, with strong attention to detail
- Intermediate experience in the efficient utilisation of information systems and technology
- Intermediate organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks.
- Good communication skills, and an ability to work with a wide variety of stakeholders
- Experience in public speaking in a community program and/or event context
- Experience working with children
- Current C Class Drivers Licence
- Provide a First Aid Certificate
- Current Working with Children Check
