Job description

What's the role?As Hobart Reporter for Sky News you will report in the field and cover a wide variety of stories including news, sport and weather across Hobart and Tasmania. You will have the ability to report live in a dynamic 24-hour news environment while also writing and preparing packages and other news content, including digital copy.Key Responsibilities
  • Report live and write news packages.
Attend news conferences, conduct interviews and newsgather on a wide range of issues.Work closely with the Sky team and liaise with senior editorial staff in Sydney to decide upon news coverage.Build and maintain a network of contacts to enable you to break stories.Capacity to shoot, write, edit and present news stories from start to finish, on a daily basis (training provided on operating a video journalist kit)File for digital platforms.Pitch original news stories and ideas.Who are you?
