The Hotel Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of a hotel to ensure that guests receive excellent service and an enjoyable stay. They will manage all aspects of the hotel, including guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, sales, and marketing in Sydney.
*Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of the hotel operations, including guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, sales, and marketing.
- Ensure that the hotel maintains high standards of cleanliness, safety, and service.
- Hire, train, and manage staff, including setting schedules and monitoring performance.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain high standards of service and efficiency.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and occupancy rates, and make adjustments as needed.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new guests and retain existing ones.
- Respond to guest complaints and resolve problems to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other business partners.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Plan and coordinate special events and promotions.
- Prepare and manage budgets and financial reports.
*Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 2 years in a management position.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong financial management and budgeting skills.
- Knowledge of hotel industry regulations and standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed.
*Physical Demands:
The Hotel Manager may be required to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods. They may also be required to lift or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment: The Hotel Manager may work in a variety of settings, including hotels and resorts. They may be required to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with long hours and strict deadlines.
