Position Details
House Coordinator (Years 7 to 12) - Full-time, Ongoing
This position is responsible for the overall coordination of a House comprising Years 7 to 12 students. They will be a member of the School Middle Leadership Team and as such, share in the responsibility for the effective delivery of quality Catholic Education at St Joseph’s School. They will be expected to provide a strong model for other teachers.
The successful applicant will have time allocated to administration and Pastoral Care duties and will be required to undertake a teaching role in their preferred Learning Area.
This is an ongoing full-time position commencing 1 January 2025.
Situated in the picturesque Avon Valley and only 50 mins from Midland, St Joseph’s School is a Catholic coeducational K-12 School with approximately 780 students on two campuses.
Selection Criteria
Special skills are needed and applications are invited from applicants who possess the following:
• Be committed to the teachings and values of the Catholic Church.
• Be able to teach in the Learning Areas of HASS, Mathematics, Science or H&PE.
• Have excellent interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrate effective strategies for managing staff.
• Be an experienced teacher with outstanding classroom teaching skills (minimum 7 years).
• Demonstrate a high level of skill in the integration of ICT I their teaching and learning.
• Demonstrate a commitment to professional learning.
• Hold or be working towards completing Accreditation for Middle Leaders.
Qualifications Required
• Accreditation requirements as specified by CEWA.
• Relevant 4 year tertiary qualifications.
