AddressWe are seeking a proactive and dedicated House Manager / Personal Assistant to join a solo female household. This role is integral in ensuring smooth operations of the home and providing comprehensive support to the homeowner. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and a lover of dogs, as the household includes a medium-sized, energetic dog.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Manage regular cleaning schedules including floors three times a week, bed and towel changes weekly, and general tidiness daily. Responsibilities also include maintaining outdoor furniture, cushions, and managing laundry and dry cleaning to maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the home.
- Organisation: Complete the setup of wardrobe, butler’s pantry, and other storage spaces to make them practical and functional. (Ongoing projects)
- Dog Care: Walk the dog several times a week, ensuring it gets enough exercise and social interaction. Make vet appointments and other arrangements as needed.
- Personal Assistant Duties: Assist with arranging travel, organising events, managing sales on Facebook Marketplace, shopping for groceries, unpacking groceries, and running various errands. Keeping the house (and us!) as organised as possible. May also include managing bookings for house photography.
- Managing Trades: Coordinate with tradespeople as needed for home maintenance including handyman tasks, as well as pool, spa, and lawn care.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong organisational skills.
- Familiarity with proper cleaning techniques and laundry care.
- Previous long-term experience in a similar role.
- Genuine affection for dogs.
- Must hold a current Police Check.
- Good references from past employers.
- Own transportation.
Details:
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 2 PM, with some flexibility. More hours available for the right candidate if it was of interest.
- Compensation: $40.00 per hour plus Superannuation and leave entitlements. Kilometre reimbursement.
- Start Date: As soon as possible.
