Role Overview:
The Housing Maintenance Coordinator contributes to a team environment ensuring timely repairs and upkeep of our properties for our tenants. Key Responsibilities
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants.
Ensure reliable after-hours maintenance services.
Conduct building condition inspections and prepare detailed reports.
Negotiate upgrades with contractors within delegated authority.
Estimate costs for major upgrades in collaboration with the maintenance manager.
Monitor contractors' work quality for responsive maintenance.
Expedite maintenance for property vacancies.
Coordinate specifications for scheduled maintenance.
Address maintenance requests from tenants and staff.
Manage disability and tenant modification requests.
Skills & Experience:
Trade/Building qualification or equivalent experience
Extensive experience in a building maintenance environment or a similar role
Desirable: Knowledge of Retirement Villages Act 2016 and Regulations 2017.
Understand building safety requirements.
Understanding of building regulations for additions and alterations.
Understanding of landlord’s maintenance responsibilities under the Residential Tenancies Act and SA Government Agreements.
Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
Is resourceful and proactive in issue resolution.
Organised, prioritises, and works well under pressure.
Organised with a strong work ethic and initiative.
Experience in negotiating with clients, contractors and suppliers
