The Opportunity

We are about to embark on a significant growth trajectory, with new long-term projects secured, spanning across Government, Civil and Domestic sectors, and as such, the need to grow our HR team is critical in order to continue to support and service our greatest assets – our people! 

Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Administrator plays a critical role in efficiently and effectively managing the day-to-day administrative tasks across all facets of Human Resources, playing a pivotal role in shaping our workforce and nurturing our company culture.

Key Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with end-to-end Recruitment and Selection activities, including position descriptions, posting job advertisements, phone screening, reference checking and assisting with pre-employment tasks, including police clearances, medicals and Visa applications;
  • Accurately drafting and processing of Employment Contracts, Letters & Forms;
  • Administering and processing onboarding tasks for new staff members;
  • Assisting in the coordination and preparation of HR Inductions;
  • Training and Study Coordination – assist in managing the set-up of traineeships and study programs, ensuring all relevant paperwork is sought, signed and stored correctly;
  • Building strong partnerships with external Training Providers;
  • Assisting in the administration of PGG’s annual performance appraisal process;
  • Assisting with the drafting and administration of Company policies, processes and forms;
  • Assisting with WorkCover Case administration, providing appropriate liaison with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Supporting the HR Manager with employee relations matters, where required, fostering a supportive and inclusive workplace and assisting in driving a positive work culture.
  • Assisting with the organisation of Company functions and get togethers;
  • Champion PGG’s ethos in every aspect of HR, reinforcing our commitment to safety, integrity, and innovation.
  • Any other administrative and/or coordination tasks, as required. 

Your vibrant and friendly nature, together with your ability to build strong working relationships both internally and externally, will be critical to your success, as will your ability to work in a fast-paced environment whilst remaining focussed, calm and providing outstanding customer service at all times. 

Additionally, your supportive, helpful and driven style coupled with your excellent communication skills both written and verbally will add further to your success. 

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business Administration and/or a related field will be highly regarded
  • Strong previous HR Administrative experience
  • Experience partnering with RTO’s and/or coordinating Employee Training and Study requirements would be advantageous
  • Previous experience using BambooHR would be highly advantageous, but not essential, as will proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Google sheets.
