Brentnalls SA is a national CA Accounting firm with 8 partners and over 80 professional staff. Due to the firm’s extensive growth over the last decade, Brentnalls is seeking to appoint a full time HR Advisor in a newly created role.
This “hands-on” role is where you can truly make a difference by facilitating, supporting, and advising Partners and Associates on day-to-day HR and WHS matters, while enhancing their positive and vibrant workplace culture.
Reporting to the Practice Manager, you will be responsible for
- Conduct end-to-end recruitment for professional and support staff
- Coordinate learning and development programs
- Nurture and foster relationships with universities, schools and accounting bodies
- Perform staff onboarding and offboarding
- Manage work experience programs
- Manage WHS / RTW processes and obligations
- Develop, update and train leadership team and staff in HR policies/procedures
- Provide support to Partners, Associates, and Managers throughout the employee lifecycle
- Assist Partners, Associates, and Managers in facilitating performance reviews
- Backup for payroll processing
- General HR administrative support
To be successful in this role, you will have completed a bachelor’s degree in HR or related business, with previous experience in confidently demonstrating functions including recruitment, performance management and policies and procedures.

- Knowledge of national laws and regulations related to employment
- Ability to adapt to different management approaches
- High level of ethics and cultural awareness
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Previous experience from within a professional practice (desirable)
