AddressSkyCity Adelaide is currently looking for a HR Advisor to join our People & Culture team on a 12-month fixed term contract.
About the role
Reporting to our HR Business Partner, you will develop and guide employee relations, HR initiatives and programmes of work that support the key brand, values, profit, revenue, visitation, and market share objectives for SkyCity Adelaide, with a particular focus on a portfolio of department managers. You will provide informed advice on all people related queries including workplace relations legislation, policies, procedures, and performance management, as well as interpret and provide advice on EA and award applications. You will support the departmental managers on investigations into employee misconduct matters and provide high level administrative support within HR and other related areas.
About you
Your ER, IR and HR knowledge will be leading edge and in line with current best practice recommendations. You will have an excellent ability to develop strong relationships and possess strong stakeholder management skills that facilitates a high level of trust between operational managers and the HR team. Your experience and relationships working with the wider P&C team (Group HR, Recruitment, L&D and H&S) will also see you establish your position as a trusted advisor within agreed departmental portfolios. Experience within the hospitality/entertainment industry will be ideal but not preferred, coupled with the below strengths:
- High level of professionalism, with excellent interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail as well exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Approachable, personable and can build rapport easily with a diverse range of people at all levels.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A willingness to aid and support with a sense of urgency, including the ability to prioritise.
- The ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality.
- Knowledge of and familiarity with computer-based systems; and
- The ability to flex and adapt within a fast-paced environment.
