The Opportunity
We are currently looking for a HR Advisorto join our team based in our Thebarton corporate Office. You will be responsible for delivering professional advice and operational support across all areas of human resources.
You will work closely with leaders to provide hands-on, proactive end-to-end recruitment and on-boarding activities including the development of position descriptions; advertising and candidate management; leading and coordinating interviews; references and background checks; negotiating and managing offers, preparation of Employment Contracts and day-one inductions.
In addition, you will contribute to the establishment, maintenance and improvement of systems and processes to support the efficient and effective operation and service of Human Resources within Catholic Education SA.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partner with leaders to provide guidance and support on resource planning and job design, evaluating positions within existing frameworks (CESA Enterprise Agreement)
- Provide advice and support with confidential employment, performance, and grievance matters.
- Provide guidance on people related tasks and activities including organisational policies and legislative requirements.
- Proactively contribute to the implementation of people initiatives and projects and support their effectiveness by promoting and undertaking an effective change management process.
- Support the identification and continual improvement of HR systems, procedures, and processes.

Our ideal candidate will understand contemporary human resource practice and legislation. Strong work ethic with the ability to act decisively and initiate urgent action to overcome problems, to deliver value and provide customer-oriented solutions.
You’ll have a customer centric approach, being able to build strong relationships with both your internal and external stakeholder network.
You’ll Need:
- Qualifications in Human Resources, Business Management, or other relevant discipline.
- Experience in a similar role, providing high-level support within a faced paced, customer oriented corporate environment.
- Strong analytical background with superior attention to detail
- Positive and flexible attitude
- Strong planning and organisation skills
- Well-developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills
