What you'll be doing
The HR Advisor plays a crucial role in supporting the human resources function within the organisation, with a focus on providing expert advice and assistance to employees and management in AU. This position requires a deep understanding of AU employment laws, regulations, and cultural nuances. The HR Advisor will be responsible for handling a variety of HR tasks, including employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and policy adherence.
Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, your contribution will include:
- Act as a point of contact for employees, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation in AU.
- Mediate and resolve employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent treatment.
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints, grievances, and disciplinary matters.
- Provide guidance to managers on performance improvement plans and employee development initiatives.
- Coordinate and support the Talent Management processes for AU with support from the People Lead
- Stay informed about changes in AU employment laws and regulations, ensuring organizational compliance.
- Collaborate with the HR team to develop and update HR policies and procedures that align with local legislation.
- Conduct exit interviews to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
- Management of all administration for the employee rewards, service and recognition programs including certificates, nomination tracking, reporting and comms
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an HR Advisor, preferably in AU.
- In-depth knowledge of AU employment laws and regulations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- HR certification (e.g., HRINZ) is a plus.
