Reporting to the Director, Business Services, this role provides leadership in the management and coordination of EDQ's human resource, administration and reporting functions, including recruitment and selection, performance management, learning and development, office accommodation and ICT management, along with a range of business administrative operations in accordance with relevant directives and legislation, whilst providing comprehensive strategic and operational advice to the Senior Leadership team.

You will be a key member of the Business Operations team, providing centralised Human Resource management and administration services and support to the management and project teams, enabling them to focus on their task of project delivery. The role is the conduit between EDQ, Human Resources, ICT and Queensland Shared Services (QSS), facilitating requests from the business while ensuring adherence to corporate policies and procedures.

This role leads the recruitment and selection function and has one direct report.

You will:

" Assist in managing and planning the annual compliance management activities, including the schedule of planned audits (i.e. infrastructure charges) and undertake unplanned/unscheduled audits as the need arises.

" Provide authoritative, high-level advice to EDQ's management and staff on human resource management practices and processes.

" Providing technical HR advice to employees on a range of queries.

" Contribute risk-based guidance to EDQ managers and leaders to support informed and quality decision making related to people and workplace matters.

" Analyse, report and problem solve a range of human resource issues.

" Manage EDQ's establishment ensuring all records are accurate and updated.

" Be an active member of EDQ's People & Culture Committee to implement ideas to enhance culture and well-being of EDQ's employees.

" Build and maintain relationships with the department's Human Resource

Business Partner and Organisational Development teams to maintain knowledge and relevance; and to support, and improve capability and confidence of, EDQ's managers and directors in contemporary and responsive human resource management.

" Design, implement and evaluate contemporary, tailored learning and development programs to develop both individual and organisational capabilities in technical and general management fields.

" Provide input into EDQ's strategic workforce plan and annual business plan.

" Contribute to business process improvement practices and processes, including ICT resource management and cost-effective telecommunications.

" Provide input to the development, communication, and implementation of organisational initiatives to ensure smooth transition and minimal impact on project delivery teams.

" Assist with EDQ's ICT needs where needed, in consultation with the departmental ICT area.
