Primary purpose of the role
Deliver expert HR consulting, support and guidance to senior management through a portfolio model approach, partnering with the business to understand their unique challenges and build a high performing, accountable workforce to deliver on strategic and operational priorities.
Key accountabilities
- Deliver client focused expert consulting, coaching and guidance services that provide Human Resources (HR) solutions to a range of areas including organisational capability, workforce planning, recruitment, talent development, performance management, employee engagement, recognition and reward, industrial relations, case management, HR legislation and policy, change management and HR project management.
- Establish client portfolio relationships through expert consultation, responsive advice and service to provide contemporary business outcomes and ensure relevance of services to client requirements.
- Support and drive implementation of various organisational development strategies including talent management, learning and development, diversity and inclusion, engagement and wellbeing, across client groups.
- Advise and guide the development, review and update of HR operational processes by developing and communicating current HR information to deliver client requirements and support their business strategies, plans and priorities.
- Support the delivery of a range of projects across the spectrum of the employee lifecycle and collaborate with various stakeholders including P&C, Finance, ICT and external vendors to improve HR management, process and service delivery.
- Support HR reporting requirement such as dashboards, metrics and monthly reports to ensure relevant stakeholders are informed of HR activity and ensure HR analytics drive HR advice.
- Tertiary qualifications in human resources and/or relevant industry experience.
- Demonstrated experience in interpreting, understanding and applying relevant NSW Public Sector legislation in particular the Government Sector Employment Act, Regulation and Rules.
- Demonstrated experience in providing HR support to business leaders and managers, prior experience as a HR business partner would be highly regarded.
- Experience in Mercer role evaluation or equivalent methodology.
