An overview of our role:
The Human Resources Business Partner at Jemena is a true HR generalist. You'll be embedded into your functional group (Gas Transmissions) as a trusted business adviser and people expert where no day will be the same as you pivot from day-to-day governance to initiating people related projects.
Reporting to the HR Manager, Network Services you'll sit within our large people support team drawing on specialist functions such as Payroll, HR Services, Talent Acquisition & OD. Your functional group will be made up of blue-chip employees across Tasmania, Victoria and New South Wales. It is also worth noting that once a quarter, there will be the need to travel interstate and to regional locations to engage with your stakeholders.
A little about you:

  • This is a highly collaborative culture and would suit someone who thrives in a complex matrix environment.
  • Generalist HR expertise and working knowledge of broad HR functions in particular significant experience in Employment Legislation, Employee and Industrial Relations, Award Interpretation, change management, talent management, Remuneration and Benefits, Policy Development, EEO, Health & Safety
  • Demonstrated experience in assisting with creating and delivering a divisional/business unit People strategy & vision.
  • Prior experience in a HR Business Partnering model and demonstrated experience working collaboratively to achieve common goals
  • Experience and methods in leadership, coaching and empowerment of teams and managers.
Qualifications / certifications & Skills:
  • Tertiary qualifications in human resource management or a related discipline.
  • Experience in large, multi-sited utility, resource and/or infrastructure industry-based organisations in a complex environment.
  • Knowledge of Australian Employment legislation and reasonable experience negotiating and interpreting awards, agreements and legislation
