Your new role
Reporting to the National P&C Manager of Business Partnering, you'll be a crucial part of the collaborative team, partnering with Operational leaders to realise the businesses strategy through people. You will apply your generalist HR expertise to develop pragmatic values-led solutions, championing a best-practice employer and to inspire teams to deliver continuously improving employee satisfaction targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with the business to develop and deliver strategic people initiatives and organisational change. Including the analysis of trends and metrics in the P&C group to identify emerging issues and inform about solutions, programs and policies.
- Lead in providing high quality, compliant and best practice industrial relations and employee relations services to the business.
- Coach and support leaders in your portfolio on day-today operational People matters, including how to manage risk, drive positive organisational behaviours and embed a high-performance culture across the business. (coaching, performance and conflict management).
- Develop effective and collaborative relationships with all internal clients and external stakeholders, including Client Representatives and key contacts to influence and drive decision-making
- Travel regularly to site within your assigned portfolio
- Oversee or conduct investigations in accordance with policies and the applicable employment legislation.
- Assist the business to ensure compliance requirements are met as relevant to your area.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will have proven HR Generalist expertise at the Business Partnering level in a medium to large organisation and be a savvy HR professional who thrives in a fast-past environment and the confidence to influence and deliver your message to key stakeholders to achieve 'win, win' outcomes.
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or similar
- Experience supporting Mining will be highly regarded
- Proven ability to interpret and apply Enterprise Bargaining Agreements and/or other industrial agreements
- Sound knowledge and experience applying industrial relations/employee relations practices and legislation, both national and state as applicable.
- Highly developed problem-solving and critical thinking skills and the ability to make decisions with minimal direction and prioritise work.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and build rapport with stakeholders
- Experience in enterprise bargaining is desirable
- Ability to work tactically to influence stakeholders to realise business objectives and appropriately manage risk.
- Flexible to travel to site regularly as required which may include occasional weekends (Autonomy is provided here and travel is organised by you)
- Able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug screening
