We are currently seeking a HR Generalist to join the team, based at our Brisbane CBD head office. Reporting to the HR Manager, our ideal candidate will be a HR Generalist with a broad range of experience. The role focuses on all aspects of HR including, but not limited to recruitment support, performance management, remuneration & workforce planning.
Key responsibilities:
- First point of contact to provide advice to managers and key stakeholders on all HR related matters including employment legislation, employment contracts and awards
- Preparation of monthly HR reporting for internal, board and client meetings
- Oversee the workforce planning function and maintain control of the volume and levels of recruitment required
- Maintain and ensure compliance of HR regulations and procedures
- Advising on performance management practices
- Recommending and delivering HR strategies and initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement and retention
- Provision of support and input to tenders and EOI’s with regards to HR and people management
- Assist with the end to end recruitment for field and office roles
What you will bring:
- Proven experience in human resources with a comprehensive knowledge of generalist HR activities
- Relevant tertiary qualification (advantageous)
- Experience working within Mining/Resources and/or construction, manufacturing or similar
- Demonstrated success in delivering generalist HR support and advice
- Ability to interpret various awards and legislation
- A solid understanding of the Fair Work Act
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
