Seeking a HR Generalist to join the team, based in Brisbane CBD head office. Reporting to the GM - HR and Operations Support.
The role focuses on all aspects of HR including, but not limited to recruitment support, performance management, remuneration & workforce planning.
Key responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly HR reporting for internal, board and client meetings
- First point of contact to provide advice to managers and key stakeholders on all HR related matters including employment legislation, employment contracts and awards
- Maintain and ensure compliance of HR regulations and procedures
- Advising on performance management practices
- Recommending and delivering HR strategies and initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement and retention
- Oversee the workforce planning function and maintain control of the volume and levels of recruitment require
- Provision of support and input to tenders and EOI’s with regards to HR and people management
- Providing day-to-day direction to the HR officer
About you:
- Proven experience in human resources with a comprehensive knowledge of generalist HR activities
- Experience working within Mining/Resources and/or construction, manufacturing or similar
- A solid understanding of the Fair Work Act
- Ability to interpret various awards and legislation
- Relevant tertiary qualification (advantageous)
- Demonstrated success in delivering generalist HR support and advice
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
