As an HR Generalist, you will play a pivotal role in not only supporting our employees experience but also their safety at work.
Reporting to the General Manager of Corporate Services, the key responsibilities of this role will include:
Business Partnering: Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, providing guidance on HR matters, performance management, employee relations, policies and procedures, systems and reporting and conflict resolution. Build strong relationships to support effective communication and collaboration.
Handle End-to-End Recruitment, Selection, and Onboarding: Manage the entire recruitment process, from posting jobs to welcoming new employees. Align recruitment strategies with business goals to attract top talent. Conduct interviews, coordinate the selection process, and collaborate with teams to ensure a positive onboarding experience. Responsible for sourcing strategic hires and attracting talent across various levels in Qld.
Remuneration and Benefits: Collaborate with the HR team to develop and administer competitive remuneration and benefits programs. Conduct market research, analyse data, and make recommendations to attract and retain top talent.
Strategy Generalist: Contribute to the development and implementation of People and Safety strategies, policies, and initiatives. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement and support organisational growth.
Safety Champion: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement safety programs, policies, and procedures. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safety-first culture across the organisation.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
- Proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar role, preferably in the engineering or technical industry.
- Strategic sourcing and recruitment skills are essential.
- Safety experience is highly desirable.
- Solid knowledge of employment and safety laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Strong business acumen and ability to align HR strategies with organisational goals.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving skills
