The Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an HSE Advisor to join our Adelaide office. This is a great career opportunity to join a team that delivers exceptional outcomes for our clients across various market sectors.
What you will do:
- Partner with key stakeholders to deliver influential People & Safety solutions
- Facilitate optimal injury management/worker compensation outcomes across all states.
- Provide information, instruction and training to management and staff on workplace health and safety issues, including relevant legislation and policy
- Help Project Managers establish new projects, including Principal Contractor projects and provide in-field advice, support and monitoring of HSE system implementation.
- Provide accurate and timely HSE advice to employees on request, via Teams, face-to-face, email and our online HSE Help Centre
- Actively support HSE forums and empower them to implement strategic initiatives in collaboration with business leaders
- Lead or participate in HSE investigations as required
- Maintain HSE data within the company's systems to enable timely and accurate reporting (iSMS, Master Safety Data etc.)
- Communicate & collaborate with Workplace Managers to monitor that all building-related health & safety elements are in place and effective
- Provide hands-on HSE assistance to proposals as required and projects where availability can be made (e.g. HSE Management Plans, HSE project start-up, HSE monitoring and assurance)
What we will love about you:
- Typically 5-10 years of HSE experience in a mining, construction or related environment within tier one organisations
- Sound knowledge of jurisdictional Worker Compensation legislation also at the national level
- Sound knowledge of injury management process
- Ability to build and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to provide technical advice on a range of HSE issues.
- Experience in the application of ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, and OFSC requirements on projects
- Experience in developing and delivering training packages.
- Excellent professional report writing skills.
- Experience in incident management, investigation and corrective action management.
- Good time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
