Opportunity
Due to a recent team restructure, we are currently seeking an experienced Workplace Health, Safety & Environment Advisor to join our client’s Perth Manufacturing team. This is a unique and autonomous role, offering scope for innovation. Working with the support of the Managing Director and Quality Advisor, you will have room to make the changes which will enhance their policies and procedures. Responsibilities
- Actively model and promote a positive safety culture
- Conducting training programs and developing training materials on HSE topics
- Experience in emergency response planning and crisis management
- Develop strong relationships with staff as well as external stakeholders
- Communicate (written & verbal) clearly and concisely at all levels
- Conduct Risk Assessment and Hazard Identification activities
- Ensure audits and inspections are undertaken in accordance with site and legislative requirements
- Manage corrective actions
- Liaise with the Managing Director on compliance
- Ensure all incidents are reported, recorded, escalated, and then investigated
- Support the Injury Management process
Qualifications & Experience
- Certificate IV or Diploma OHS/WHS
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Proficient in use of Safety Management Software
- Knowledge and understanding of regulatory framework for Work Health and Safety (state and national)
- Working Knowledge of Injury Management and Return to Work requirements
- First point of contact for WHS queries and advice
