THE COMPANY
Streamline Connect is a Western Australian owned and operated company that constructs communications infrastucture for mobile carriers, miners and other private network operators. Our speciality is long haul fibre optic cable using ploughing and trenching techniques, plus tower construction with associated power infrastructure.
We have extensive work in mines and in regional areas of Western Australia and operate primarily with in house teams and our own plant to deliver on various projects.
THE ROLE
This opportunity to enter our business is a key role supporting our mine site and regional projects. Focused primarily on long haul fibre optic cable projects (civil construction) and wireless (working at heights and lifting) you will be a key part of a collaborative team working to ensure safe and successful project delivery.
You will demonstrate high levels of energy, effort and commitment to delivery and your focus will always be on collaboration and supporting superior outcomes for Streamline Connect and our clients.
YOU WILL
- Maintain compliance with Streamline Connect and Client HSE requirements:
- Partnering with operational leaders to support proactive management of key health and safety risks onsite;
- Provide trusted advice on health and safety matters to operational leaders in line with Streamline and its clients HSEQ Management Systems;
- Influence and coach operational leadership teams to ensure successful delivery and application of fundamental H&S processes (leadership in the field, critical risk management, workplace conditions, hazard & id control, pre-start meetings, incident investigation and action quality);
- Completing first line assurance to verify compliance to systems, procedures and standards (Safety, Quality and Environmental);
- Analysis and problem solving in matters of complex health and safety issues;
- Providing onsite support for incident investigations and risk assessments, including coaching and facilitating;
- Developing and providing relevant H&S information (e.g. safety statistics, incident information, risk analysis, educational material) to operational leaders;
- Coordination of site-based initiatives that promote the health and wellbeing of the workforce and local community;
- Identification and implementation of continuous improvement opportunities in all areas of the Health and Safety Function.
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
- Qualifications in H&S or other relevant tertiary qualifications;
- High level of integrity and values based decision making;
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team;
- A passion for, and sound knowledge of health and safety;
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment;
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive outcomes;
- An ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing competing priorities;
- High level of communication, written and interpersonal skills.
- Sound computer literacy skills – proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint;
- Maintain personal accountability and be able to work autonomously; and
- A valid WA manual driver’s license.
