HSE & Operations Support Officer (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)
Full Time Permanent Position
Operating as a world leading manufacturer and exporter of glass materials and chemical products globally, we are a successful organization that is well known for its quality branded products and passion for innovation.
Reporting to the Plant Manager, there is a vacancy for a full-time permanent HSE & Operations Support Officer within our Dandenong South manufacturing facility.
This role provides day to day support to operations in addition to taking a leading role in implementing and maintaining the Company’s HSE initiatives.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the Company in meeting health, safety and environmental obligations and initiatives.
- Support the operations in investigation and delivery of projects to improve safety, environmental, quality, productivity and plant performance.
- Develop and maintain reporting routines for operational and HSE metrics..
- Assist in development and delivery of training.
- Provide emergency relief cover operating the plants in a safe and efficient manner.
- Actively participate in development and maintenance of operational, safety and environmental documentation.
Must have right to work in Australia and must be permanent resident or Australian Citizen.
Must have current driver's license and forklift license.
Willing to undergo pre-employment medical
About You:
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum Certificate IV training in HSE in addition to experience as a HSR.
- Computer skills with Microsoft Office applications
- Well-developed time management, communication, and interpersonal skills from the shopfloor to senior level management.
- Current forklift license.
- High level of numeracy and English literacy skills
Formal qualifications in science and/ or engineering will be highly regarded
