Horizons West is seeking a pivotal and experienced HSEQ Advisor to play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and improving an IMS, and ensuring compliance with ISO standards and regulatory requirements.

About the Role
This fulltime role at Horizons West is not just a typical HSEQ Advisor position. It's a hands-on opportunity to partner with the business, implement the HSEQ strategy, and maintain and improve Safety, Environmental, and Quality documentation.
This newly created role will be a key part of our team, providing HSEQ assistance and advice, collaborating with team members to mitigate health, safety, environment, and quality risks, and driving continuous improvement in HSEQ performance.
Key Responsibilities
- HSEQ Management - Support, Advise, Assist, and Promote the delivery of HSEQ management systems.
- Assurance and Compliance - Ensure that all regulatory expectations are adhered to and that the company policies and procedures comply with requirements.
- Incidents, Investigations, and other reporting—Partner with the business in incident reporting and investigations and monitor the implementation and effectiveness of corrective actions. Investigate as required and identify the root cause with timely closure of corrective actions using innovative solutions.
About You
- Tertiary Qualified in Work Health & Safety or related discipline
- Experienced in ICAM Incident Investigations and Auditor Management Systems
- Demonstrated experience in implementing and coordinating a health, safety, environment or integrated management system.
- Knowledge of the Work Health & Safety Act, Regulations, and Codes of Practice.
- Knowledge and understanding of Risk Management principles
- Knowledge and understanding of documented management systems (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and 55001)
- You have highly developed interpersonal research, analytical and evaluation skills
- You attain strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and
