The Opportunity:
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced HSEQ professional to join our team, based in Laverton North.
About You:
We're seeking a dedicated HSEQ Coordinator in supporting capital works, major projects, maintenance projects, and general maintenance programs across Victoria.
Your strong safety leadership, accountability and employee engagement across our business will make you an ideal fit for this role.
Key Responsibilities & Skills:
- Promote and protect the wellbeing of employees.
- Ensure all field staff carry out their work activities in accordance with Client Agreements, Job Safety Procedures, SWMS and Project Specific Procedures.
- To support with coordination of Integrated Management System (ISO9001 / ISO14001 / ISO45001) audits and support operational teams with any external audits.
- Implement a site-based Safety Audit program and routinely attend work sites to review controls effectiveness and opportunities for improvement.
- Oversee and manage HSEQ online systems for reporting and documenting of HSEQ requirements for projects.
- Conduct and report on incident investigations.
- Assist in the development and ongoing management of HSEQ goals and targets for the entire organisation.
- Manage worker’s compensation claims, reporting to work cover and return to work process.
- Lead and Manage HSEQ monthly Safety Committee and Operational meetings.
- Monitor SWMS and JSA’s for work undertaken on jobs/projects.
- Liaise with client’s representative, address client requests, and ensure that they are satisfied with the implementation level of the site health, safety, quality and environmental systems.
Necessary Requirements:
- Relevant Qualifications in HSEQ is desirable
- Relevant experience in utilities and/ or construction industry
- Extensive knowledge of legislation relevant to the business.
- High level interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Previous experience managing safety investigations and incidents
