The role: The HSEQ Systems Manager will be a key player in developing, implementing, and maintaining effective Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality management systems.Your impact: We are looking for a strategic thinker with hands-on experience to ensure compliance with Australian regulatory requirements, identify areas for improvement, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.Your every day: • Develop, implement, and maintain robust HSEQ management systems in alignment with Australian standards and regulations.• Ensure seamless integration of these systems into daily operations, promoting a proactive approach to risk management.• Regularly review, update, and maintain systems to reflect changes in regulations and industry best practices, ensuring the business maintains relevant HSEQ accreditations.• Provide leadership and guidance to the HSEQ team in the effective implementation of HSEQ management systems.• Establish and maintain governance structures to oversee the implementation process, ensuring accountability and clear lines of responsibility.• Conduct thorough risk assessments and audits, identifying potential hazards and ensuring compliance with Australian health and safety regulations.• Analyse incident investigations to identify root causes and systemic issues, proposing and implementing corrective actions.• Lead the development of safety policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with regulatory requirements.Who are you? • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Quality Management, or a related field.• Proven experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining HSEQ management systems in Australia.• In-depth knowledge of Australian health and safety regulations and standards.• Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.• Relevant certifications (e.g., Exemplar Global Lead Auditor OH&SMS, Australian Institute of Health and Safety – Certified OHS Professional) will be an advantage.A career with us Symal is an equal opportunity employer.
