Job Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive HR Assistant to join our Human Resources team. The HR Assistant will support the HR department in various administrative tasks, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Have an understanding of employment agreements and be familiar with local laws.
Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties, assist the HR manager with preparation of employment contracts for hourly and salaried personnel when required.
Back up administrator for Kronos timekeeping system, Workday, including of timesheets, hiring of new recruits, termination, promotion of team members in the HRIS system.
Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resources executives.
Compile and update employee records
Weekly review of the timesheets to ensure accuracy and to assist payroll with weekly reports.
Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, etc.).
Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys, etc.) and take minutes.
Deal with employee requests regarding Human Resources issues, rules, and regulations.
Assist in payroll preparation coordinating with the supervisors regarding any leave, timesheets through the kronos time keeping system.(absences, personal leave, etc.).
Conduct and assist with Interviews, Pre Employment Medical Bookings, weekly inductions
Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, conducting interviews, performing reference checks, and issuing employment contracts.
Due to the information and correspondence within this role you must be able to maintain confidentiality within this role.
Qualifications:
Business Administration, or related field.
Proven experience as an HR Assistant or relevant Human Resources/administrative position.
Computer typing skills, fluent in Microsoft office (Word & Excel)).
Hands-on experience with a HRIS or HRMS.
Knowledge of Fair Gov requirements and local laws
Excellent organizational skills.
Strong communications skills, the ability to relate to all people,
Ability to handle data with the strictest of confidentiality.
