We are seeking a Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our national HR Operations team. This is a permanent, full-time role based in our Brisbane office.
In this role you will provide essential administrative support to the HR Operations team, with a particular focus on supporting compliance activities. In this role, you will develop foundational HR skills and gain exposure to the full employee lifecycle. Some of the key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the HR Operations team with day-to-day administration tasks.
- Creating and maintaining HR Operations resources (template emails, intranet pages, process documents, guides and other tools).
- Working with local HR Coordinators and the broader HR team to maintain accurate employee data in Workday, our Global HR System.
- Initiating and monitoring business processes in Workday, ensuring updates and changes to employee data are completed in a timely manner
- Coordinating employee due diligence (background checks) and any other regulatory requirements.
- Generating reports and collating data to assist with decision making.
- Supporting audit and compliance tasks.
- Monitoring shared inboxes and resolving general HR queries.
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with the broader HR team and with internal support teams.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous administration and/or customer service experience.
- An interest in process improvement and using data and systems to both add value and improve efficiency.
- A proactive and collaborative approach.
- A can-do attitude that will positively contribute to team culture.
- Experience using Excel, or a willingness to develop these skills.
- Ability to communicate with key stakeholders to confirm priorities and manage your time effectively.
- A desire to develop a career in HR.
- Recently completed, or be completing, a HR qualification.
