Due to growth in the organisation and the HR team we are now looking for an experienced and passionate HR Lead (also known as Human Resources Coordinator at SWAMS) to join our collaborative team to play a crucial role in shaping our organisation’s HR strategy, policies, and practices. You will lead a team of dedicated HR Officers, ensuring that SWAMS continues to foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
Reporting directly into the Human Resource Manager this role has a responsibility of ensuring a high-quality Human Resource service is provided to ensure a competent and effective workforce that will deliver a high standard of care to SWAMS clients. You will manage all aspects of the HR function including but not limited to:
- Maintaining contracts for current and new employees.
- Develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate staff inductions, offboarding and exit interview process
- Provide information and advice on Human Resource Management to the HR Manager and Executives.
- Coordinate a performance management system and provide support to line managers
- Provide HR related support to Line Managers
- Manage and develop Human Resource related policies and procedures
- Provide line management and mentoring to the Human Resources team
- Manage HR compliance issues
- Monitor and ensure organizational legislative compliance in relation to workplace practices
Essential Criteria
- Experience in developing and implementing Human Resources policies and systems
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and issues affecting them, and the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively
- An ability to interact proactively with management and staff at all levels of the organisation in resolution of HR issues
Desirable Criteria
- Possession of or progress towards a relevant qualification in Human Resource Management.
- Experience leading a team and providing support/development for colleagues and team members
