Your Role

Reporting to the COO the HR Business Partner role acts as a strategic bridge between operational leadership and Human Resources functions within the company. This position is instrumental in aligning HR strategies with business goals to optimise workforce performance, drive employee engagement, and ensure regulatory compliance.

The HR Manager plays a pivotal role in driving organisational success by effectively managing the people-related aspects of the business and supporting the attainment of strategic objectives. 

Areas of Responsibility

Resourcing Strategy Management:

  • Developing and managing a strategic resourcing plan for the group to facilitate growth and integration.
  • Taking a proactive approach to managing the resourcing plan, including attending industry events.

Performance Metrics and Risk Management:

  • Continually reviewing and identifying metrics to drive business performance relative to strategic priorities while minimising business risk.

Talent Acquisition and Employer Branding:

  • Managing and overseeing all aspects of the recruitment and selection process, including proactive candidate pipeline management.
  • Collaboratively working to build the Employee Value Proposition (EVP) and position the business as the Employer of Choice regionally.

Employee Experience and Relations:

  • Overseeing the administration of onboarding, employee benefits, remuneration entitlements, cultural initiatives, and health and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Talent management, mapping, coaching and development plans.
  • Managing employee relations, including investigations, complaints, and grievances.

Compliance and Policy Management:

  • Ensuring compliance with employment laws, industrial instruments, and regulations.
  • Developing and managing HR policies and procedures as required.

Workplace Health and Safety:

  • Overseeing compliance and the workplace health and safety function within the organisation.
     

What we need from you

Education and Experience:

  • Preferably a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, or a diploma with relevant experience.
  • Extensive experience and working knowledge of the Fair Work Act/Australian Legislation, including industrial instruments and EA’s.

Industrial Relations Expertise:

  • Proven experience in employee and industrial relations.
  • Experience in supporting operational management with team performance reviews, grievances, and transformation.

Recruitment and Diversity Strategy:

  • Experience driving diverse recruitment strategies, including 482 visa and PALM candidate opportunities, as well as experience with funding and grants.

Strategic Thinking and Communication:

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to influence and build trusting relationships.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
  • Able to balance garnering engagement with the ability to have the direct and tough talks

Transformation and Proactivity:

  • Transformation experience or exposure.
  • Resourceful, tenacious engager, and proactive individual who can swiftly navigate multiple projects effectively.

Hands-on Approach and Delegation:

  • Ability to determine when to roll up sleeves or delegate appropriately to deliver best practice HR and engagement practices.
