Seeking a Human Resources Manager in central west QLD with experience in heavy industry.

A leading global mining organisation headquartered in Brisbane is seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead the team of residentially based and corporate based HR professionals in Australia. This role will see you working in a residential capacity west of Rockhampton on a Monday - Friday roster.
Your new role
Reporting into the Chief People & Sustainability Officer, you will be responsible for managing the overall provision of HR services, policies, and programs across Australia.
You will:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
- Lead the Human Resource function, including site accommodation and administration teams
- Manage talent acquisition and onboarding process, including sourcing channels and associated company branding
- Manage and resolve employee relations grievances and concerns to minimise disruptive industrial relations outcomes
- Proactively build and maintain positive working relationships through teamwork and mutual respect.
- Implement performance planning and review and talent and succession processes across the business to build the capability within the organisation
- Manage accommodation portfolio, ensuring adequate residential and village style options for employees and Contractors
- Represent and lead community initiatives in the central highlands' region, partnering with external stakeholders
- Support the development and implementation of policy to promote diversity policies and inclusivity across the business
What you'll need to succeed
- A degree in Human Resource Management, Organisational Psychology, or a related field
- Experience leading an HR operations team in the mining or heavy industry sector
- Proven capability in leading the implementation of various people and cultural initiatives, encompassing employee and industrial relations, leadership, performance and engagement.
- Strong leadership skills managing people dispersed across multiple locations
- Demonstrated ability to engage with senior stakeholders effectively will be essential as will be your capability and willingness to be hands-on and operationally focused.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen to make sound decisions fostering performance.
- Self-motivation, drive and resilience are essential, and you will be highly-skilled in influencing, negotiating, gaining credibility and building relationships.
