Established in 1997 by the Victorian government, the Mallee Catchment Management Authority (CMA) region covers 3.9 million hectares. We are the largest catchment area in the state and run along the Murray River from Nyah to the South Australian border and south to the vast dryland cereal and wheat crops of the Wimmera.
Our primary responsibility is to ensure that natural resources in the region are managed in an integrated and ecologically sustainable way. We are the peak body for delivering natural resource programs in the Mallee. Our work is based on science and has meaningful partnerships with government agencies, local organisations such as Landcare, and community groups in the Victorian Mallee.
We now have an exciting new opportunity for a Human Resource Officer to join our dedicated team.
This role will provide Human Resources services across our organisation, including end to end recruitment, inductions and training, payroll and quality and compliance.
You will support the organisation’s continuous improvement and provide high level administrative support to the HR Coordinator and Chief Finance Officer.
To thrive in this role, you will have completed a qualification in Human Resources or related discipline, and have previous experience working in Human Resources, with a strong understanding of the relevant Industrial relations legislations.
This role will allow you to undertake various HR projects and help further develop the HR function within the organisation. As such, you will have practical interpersonal skills and be able to communicate and collaborate with a range of stakeholders and work well within a team.
You will be a professional and adaptable individual with a willingness to learn and further grow your skills in the field of Human Resources. You will have strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidential information. In addition, you will be self-disciplined and be able to manage and prioritise your time effectively.
A competitive renumeration salary circa $73,700 – $92,700, plus superannuation negotiable based on skills and experience is on offer.
The Mallee CMA is an equal opportunity employer.
