QIMR Berghofer Values are: Excellence Integrity Respect Collaboration Accountability Role Purpose / Responsibilities:   This role is responsible for the efficient and effective provision of HR advice and support to meet the operational and service delivery needs of the Institute.   As a HR Adviser you will be the initial point of contact for the day to day delivery of clear and accurate HR advice and support to a diverse workforce (employees, students, visiting scientists, etc.), ensuring consistent application of HR policy and procedures. Your primary responsibility will be delivering accurate and responsive HR client services (recruitment, onboarding, contract generation, policy advice) to our clients and we are looking for someone who can take the role to the next level by proactively engaging with leaders and managers to deliver the best client service possible.

 About you: Our ideal candidate will have substantial Human Resource experience, and have a track record as an efficient and effective HR professional.  You will have demonstrated experience establishing and maintaining productive working relationships with key stakeholders. You will be a great communicator, take pride in the accuracy of your work, be proactive and enjoy building relationships.

The key capabilities we are seeking include: The ability to apply structured problem-solving approaches and good judgement to analyse, manage and resolve a range of issues; Strong written and oral communication skills; Good attention to detail to provide a high-quality service; Demonstrated organisational skills to manage multiple competing priorities; and The ability to deal with complexity and ambiguity. Experience with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and other software (records management systems such as TRIM) is highly desirable, as is compiling HR data for reports.

Remuneration: Salary range is $95,486 to $103,882 p.a. plus super and generous salary packaging. This is a full-time permanent position.
