Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a Human Resources Assistant to join our growing South Australian team. The role is permanent part-time (27.5 - 30 hours/ week negotiable) Monday through Friday with an early morning start of 7:30am each day.
CRA offer the option of a ‘work from home’ day, once trained. CRA will provide the successful applicant with a Microsoft Surface and work-from-home setup. Staff training is paid, and employees have access to a funded Employee Assistance Program.
This position would suit an early career Human Resources professional or someone looking to enter the field. Working in a team of experienced HR staff members, the opportunity offers mentoring and development in HR. The position will provide administrative support to, and assistance with, various aspects and functions of CRA’s Human Resources and Administrative teams, working both independently and as part of a cohesive team.
We are in search of a dynamic individual with a positive outlook and a ‘no problem, can-do' attitude. You will possess excellent people skills and be able to communicate effectively with a broad range of people at all levels, across different cultures, and act with credibility, discretion, empathy, tact, and diplomacy.
You will be a proficient computer user, familiar with Microsoft Suite of software. A knowledge of MYOB and the Employment Hero HR platform is a bonus. You will also be a quick learner with a proficiency for new technologies, whilst also possessing a knack for clear and effective written and verbal communication.
A task-focused attitude is important in this role, and we are seeking someone who can ensure accuracy and precision, plus an ability to work to timeframes.

Skills/Experience:
General assistant and support with:
- Reviewing, updating and distribution of Policies and Procedures.
- Leave and Time Owed in Lieu (TOIL) requests.
- Payroll preparation and processing.
- Recruitment and retention activities.
- Providing support and training to all teams as required.
- Record keeping and maintenance of HR software systems.
- Staff Performance and Development session schedules and systems.
- Creation and distribution HR related communications to staff.
- Staff onboarding and offboarding activities.
- Staff uniform and ID badges.
- Rollout of HR related initiatives, projects, and employee education sessions.
- Assist with early morning company phone call triage and support the administrative team in busy periods.
