About Inland Rail
The Inland Rail Program is a 1600km rail infrastructure project stretching from Brisbane to Melbourne incorporating new and existing rail track. The program includes the upgrading of existing standard gauge track, the enhancement of existing standard gauge track to cater for double stacking and the construction of new standard gauge links comprising of viaducts, tunnels, rail track, crossings and bridges. About the opportunity
Based in our Brisbane office as part of the broader HR team this role will spearhead the development and implementation of customised HR solutions to address workforce challenges across the QLD region, with a specific focus on Industrial Relations Management. Focussed on the QLD segment of the Inland Rail program the role will be pivotal in driving organisational success through fostering robust stakeholder relationships with line leaders and delivery partners.
Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing SME input and advice to delivery projects in relation to Industrial Relations Management including, participating in Stage Gate workshops, working with delivery partners to develop project specific Industrial Relations Management Plans (IRMP).
- Providing expert guidance on HR policies and procedures and resolving employee relations matters.
- Assisting in shaping organisational culture and performance through targeted workforce development strategies.
- Overseeing talent cycles, including performance management, talent reviews, and succession planning, ensuring the organisation's readiness for continued growth and success
- Collaborating with internal HR specialists to provide specialised advice on the effective execution of people processes while further influencing organisational culture and performance through strategic interventions

As a skilled HR Business Partner with formal qualifications, you should possess a strong working knowledge and demonstrable experience navigating IR/ER frameworks within in a major project environment.
Additionally, you should be able to demonstrate your experience collaborating with organisational leaders to drive change initiatives, proactively manage talent, and ensure continuous improvement aligns with the business's strategic objectives.
This is an excellent opportunity for autonomous HR professional with a background in industrial relations management, seeking a more balanced HR role where they can actively engage with Line Leaders and Employees to drive meaningful impact within a fast-paced project environment.
