The Role:
As the Human Resources Business Partner, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring regulatory compliance and fostering a positive workplace culture. Reporting to the Coordinator of Human Resources, you'll provide dedicated, tailored, and professional HR Business Partnering support to allocated Directorates of the organization (Infrastructure Services and Corporate Services).
Your responsibilities encompass acting as the first point of contact for managing the resolution of all generalist HR matters and inquiries, driving strategic HR initiatives, and supervising the HR Officer. You'll develop partnerships with allocated Directorates to deliver tailored HR services aligned with divisional goals, collaborate with managers to enhance staff engagement and performance, and manage HR portfolio areas within set timeframes and budgets.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Your duties include providing operational guidance on employee relations issues, offering expert advice on recruitment strategies and remuneration, contributing to key organizational projects and initiatives, and leading or participating in projects within the People and Capability department. Additionally, you'll champion occupational health and safety regulations and Council policies, promote equal opportunity and ethical behavior, and make decisions within established guidelines.
Qualifications and Experience:
To excel in this role, you'll need a tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or related discipline, or equivalent experience, along with demonstrated experience in managing HR matters and providing consultancy services. Strong knowledge of employment legislation, industrial instruments, and HR systems is essential, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
