We are seeking a part time Human Resources Consultant to join our team based in Annandale, Sydney. (12-month maternity leave cover)
The HR Consultant will be responsible for providing accurate and timely HR advice and support to managers and employees. In addition to this, the role will have a strong focus on conducting thorough assessments of current HR processes/systems to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement or implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to assess and understand business needs, and to assess the HR needs and develop tailored HR procedures and systems.
- Ability to develop proposals aimed to enhance the effectiveness of the HR function, whilst responding to business needs and delivering a great experience for our people
- Provide structured support to deliver key HR initiatives, focusing on people experience to enable successful adoption.
- Act as a conduit to bring different parties together to drive recommendations and decisions within HR.
- Utilise people experience data and people insights to track progress and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Advise Leaders to enable and support them to effectively manage their people through organisational changes, performance management, conduct matters and general employee relations.
- Support leaders and employees in the interpretation and adherence to awards and agreements.
- Analyse people trends and metrics and recommend actions - and support future workforce planning strategies and requirements.
- Support the People & Culture function with ad hoc HR administration as required.
About you:
- Experience in HR, HR strategy and transformation or a related field.
- Experience in developing proposals for new initiatives in the HR function to enhance its effectiveness and efficiency, with a focus on improving people experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to coordinate with different stakeholders to gather requirements and drive collaboration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to work with data and make data-driven decisions.
- Well organised with a methodical approach and an ability to progress multiple projects at one time
- Ability to think strategically and translate strategy into action.
- Knowledge of HR best practices, including talent management, employee relations, and compensation and benefits, is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently.
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources
