Working closely with the HR Manager, the HR Coordinator is responsible for supporting Human Resources functions within the organization, contributing to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with relevant employment laws. This role involves the coordination of various HR projects and activities, from recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, employee engagement, learning & development to HR administration.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinating the end-to-end recruitment process, including job posting, resume screening, interviewing, and reference checks.
- Coaching and collaborating with hiring managers to identify staffing needs
- Assist with handling workplace investigations, disciplinary & grievances processes
- Coaching and assisting managers in the Performance Management Process
- Assisting in the development, roll-out, and presentation of training plans and material.
- Supporting the development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives and other HR projects and programs.
- Maintaining and updating HR systems, databases, and registers.
- Creating, maintaining, and reviewing employee contracts, variations, and other HR documentation.
- Assisting Payroll with inquiries and providing relevant employee information.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in an HR Role, with at least 2-3 years in a coordination or administration capacity.
- Must have bachelor’s degree tertiary qualification in Business, HR or similar.
- Demonstrate a genuine passion for Human Resources and a strong eagerness to contribute actively to improvement initiatives.
- Possess sound Generalist HR Knowledge
- Strong investigative skills
- Experience in developing, coordinating, and conducting training.
- Sound knowledge in dealing with all employee relations matters and Australian employment laws and regulations.
- Must be an excellent communicator (written and verbal) with the ability to earn trust and credibility.
- Must be well organized and able to juggle multiple tasks - dynamic, and action-orientated, who meets deadlines and makes it happen
