The Role
The Human Resources Development Officer works with a dynamic and collaborative team to provide an essential, customer focussed coordination and support role to assist HR Development with delivering strategic HR policies, programs, and initiatives, including our Professional Development, Corporate Induction Program, and governance processes.
We are seeking a team member who shares the Department’s vision and values. To be successful in the role, you need have well developed organisational skills, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and be able to deliver tasks within competing deadlines. In this role you will be liaising with employees at all levels, so sound communication skills are required along with the ability to build working relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders to deliver the highest level of customer service.
In 2024, the HR Development team will be developing and implementing a range of workforce strategies and programs. The HR Development Officer will play an essential role in assisting with:
- implementing actions from the Department’s Workforce Diversification and Inclusion Strategy;
- supporting the development and implementation of the Department’s Professional Development Program 2024-25;
- supporting the development of the Department’s Aboriginal Employment Strategy.
- supporting youth employment strategies including the Department’s Traineeship and Graduate programs;
