With a newly appointed General Manager, and an increased focus on Industrial Relations and continual engagement uplift, an exciting opportunity exists for a commercial and creative National People & Performance Manager to join their team.
About the Role
As the right hand person to the newly appointed General Manager, the National People & Performance Manager will play a key role in leading the business and a workforce of approximately 1,300 across Australia. Leading the HR function, they will be responsible for leading the design, development and implementation of effective people strategies and plans that enable the delivery of the organisations strategic goals and objectives.
Key priorities will included:
- Leading the execution of the IR strategy, ensuring the effective negotiation outcomes of multiple enterprise agreements;
- Development and implementation of action plans designed to ensure continual engagement uplift;
- Designing and developing talent and succession plans to ensure future needs of the organisation are achieved; and
- Provide strategic change management and organisation design advice and support to the General Manager and Senior Management team.
The ability to partner with General Manager and senior leaders to understand business conditions and trends that effect the industry and translate into people related decisions and actions will be key to success, as will strong commercial acumen and an ability to provide effective reporting, analysis and insight across key business and people performance metrics.
About You
Presenting with a commercial lens and strong customer focus, you are a contemporary HR Executive who is action-oriented and considered a trusted advisor. You have experience in a similar role in a large manufacturing and/or distribution environment and demonstrate deep expertise in talent development and succession planning, in addition to prior experience strategically managing EBA negotiations whilst strengthening relationships with unions. You have strong change management experience, particularly in regard to large scale restructures and are considered a strong people leader.
