Human Resources Lead (NDIS Disability Sector)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management, particularly within the disability services industry. They will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Human Resources operations, including employee relations, performance management, training and development, compliance, and policy implementation. This role requires a deep understanding of the unique challenges and regulations within the NDIS Disability Sector, as well as a commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity within the organisation.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business goals and objectives of the organisation.
2. Oversee the recruitment and onboarding process for new employees, ensuring compliance with NDIS regulations and industry standards.
3. Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related issues, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
4. Lead and facilitate training and development programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of employees, particularly in areas related to disability support and inclusion.
5. Manage employee relations, including conducting investigations, resolving grievances, and promoting a positive work culture.
6. Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and standards, including NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework.
7. Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and documentation, ensuring alignment with NDIS requirements and best practices.
8. Coordinate and administer employee benefits programs, including leave management, compensation, and employee assistance programs.
9. Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to identify HR needs and opportunities for continuous improvement.
10. Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and legislative changes related to disability services and HR management.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, CIPD) preferred.
2. Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in HR management, with at least 2 years of experience in the Disability NDIS Sector.
3. In-depth knowledge of NDIS regulations, standards, and processes, with a strong understanding of disability support services and best practices.
4. Demonstrated experience in employee relations, performance management, and compliance within a complex regulatory environment.
5. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organisation.
6. Strong leadership and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach to HR management.
7. Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
8. Proficient in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other HR-related software applications.
