Do you have experience in Human Resources Management?  We are looking for a mature, experienced Human Resource Manager to support our workforce of approximately 20.  

  • Position: Part time Human Resources Manager – Transition to the Human Resource Management position from the existing Manager and join the Management team.  This position requires previous positions as a Human Resource Manager.  

 

  • Location:  On site, Byron Bay, NSW

Temporary, very basic accommodation may be available on site during the trial period.

RESPONSIBILITIES

-      Manage and co-ordinate the Human Resources administration including, but not limited to: 

 

Management:

–    Provide extensive guidance and support to managers in the access, interpretation and analysis of workforce information 

–    Participate in the implementation of information management systems designed to assist managers with establishment and rostering and provide support where applicable

–    Assist with the development of supporting documentation to assist managers meet their human resource management obligations. 

–    Work with Management and generate desired outcomes.

–    Assist with the co-ordination of organisational charts based on establishment data

–    Participate in the implementation of organisational change processes related to workforce and promote the use of establishment information for decision making 

Personell 

–    Regularly audit workforce data and ensure quality assurance measures are in place to ensure data integrity

–    Maintain existing and develop new HR policy and procedures, employee contracts, salary agreements, statutory regulations, WPHS etc.

–    Payroll.

–    Ensure that human resource records are managed in an efficient and confidential manner compliant to organisational requirements.  

-      Provide high quality and confidential administrative support services for meetings, preparing documents for appointments/meetings and preparing urgent responses to internal and external requests. 

-      Monitor and quality check payments for staff expense claims, travel bookings, charters and staff resources.  Timely and accurate Payroll payments and records, staff meeting and reviews.

-      Contribute, maintain and nurture the positive workplace culture.

-      Ensure a level playing field for all employees.

 

General

-      Maintain effective time management practices for appointments, correspondence and telephone calls.

-      Provide high quality and confidential administrative support services for meetings, preparing documents for appointments/meetings and preparing urgent responses to internal and external requests.

-      Undertake research activities and participate in projects, agreements, plans and data collection and analysis of information, including the writing of reports and recommendations, as required.

 

REQUIREMENTS

You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following key capabilities, knowledge and experience, the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

 

-      Proven ability to prioritise, organise and plan for the efficient functioning of HR administrative services such as Payroll, Annual leave, time in lieu, employment contracts, workplace health and safety, statutory insurance etc. 

-      High level ability in use of MYOB (or similar payroll and payments software) for payroll and payments. 

-      High level of keyboard skills with experience of database, spreadsheet, word processing and related software

-      Experience providing high-level, professional human resource advice to staff and management within a complex service delivery environment.

-      Knowledge of and demonstrated ability to apply contemporary human resource management practices .

-      Ability to maintain confidentiality and work autonomously.

-      High level ability to identify and resolve issues using an innovative approach.

-      High level communication and interpersonal skills and experience working with and resolving conflict within the workplace.

-      Knowledge and expertise in recruitment and management of workforce establishment procedures including legalisation requirements.

-      Ability to actively participate in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices employment equity, anti-discrimination, occupational health and safety as well as ethical behaviour

-      Not mandatory however highly desirable Bachelor of Business, major in HR.
