Michael Hill is seeking a dynamic HR Manager to join the Global Support Centre in Cannon Hill. In this new role you will report to the HR Partnering and Talent Development Manager. You will be an experienced HR leader, excel in the development and delivery of people strategies across the team member lifecycle including attraction, talent development and succession planning, retention, and engagement. The role is accountable for leadership of the Australian HR Business Partnering team, it’s functions and delivery of operational HR services in these areas to support the business. Inspirational leadership, collaboration, and influencing skills are important attributes for success in this critical role.

Responsibilities include;
- Industrial and employment relations management and advice, including Fair Work and union support as needed
- Ensuring that quality HR support, counsel and processes are provided to the business in relation to HR transactions
- Developing and implementing HR strategies and people focused initiatives to improve business results and to transform the workforce.
- Embedding all activities in our engaging and fit for purpose People Cycle
- Developing and delivering Talent and Succession policies and processes to ensure the attraction, engagement and retention of talent
- Ensuring key stakeholders are fully engaged with the We’re Listening program and supports the business to identify and deliver on actions to enhance engagement
- Maintaining up to date and relevant People data to support HR initiatives across the business
Experiences that will set you up for success;
- Proven ability to effectively lead a team of experienced HR Business Partners
- Experience working in a leadership role in fast paced industries such as retail where transformation and growth is a priority
- Led with data to develop and implement HR strategies and people focused initiatives to improve business results and to transform the workforce
- Experience successfully implementing business changes and HR initiatives.
- Management of complex ER and IR matters
- Experience in delivering well managed restructuring activities
