Royal on the Park Hotel is a 4 ½ star independent property located in the heart of Brisbane's CBD, and renowned for its warm atmosphere, professionalism and exceptional guest service. An exciting opportunity exists for a Human Resources Manager to join our Executive Leadership team.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for all facets of the Human Resources department, from recruitment, selection and onboarding, to learning & development, performance management and separation.
The ideal candidate possesses a high level of initiative and the ability to work autonomously. This stand-alone role would suit a Human Resources professional from a Hospitality background, or HR Coordinator, ready to take the next step in their career.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Implementation of HR strategies and initiatives that support the organisation's business plan, with a strong focus on retention
- Strategic workforce planning and analysis
- Providing coaching and guidance to Department Managers on various staffing matters
- Supporting Department Managers in the recruitment and selection of team members
- Management of employee grievances, incidents and investigations
- Onboarding of all team members
- Employee training & development with a focus on leadership growth
- Assist in the management of hotel Work Health and Safety including rehabilitation and return to work
- Play an active role as a member of the Executive Leadership team, executing projects and administrative functions to meet annual budgets and business plans
To be successful in this sought after role, you will ideally possess:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in Human Resources
- Tertiary qualifications in Business/Human Resources or equivalent experience
- Excellent computer literacy including sound knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Strong oral and written communication
- Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Exceptional personal presentation
- Excellent organisational skills and time management
- Experience managing Workers' Compensation claims and return-to-work processes
- Experience within the hospitality environment highly regarded
