Human Resources Officer

This opportunity is for a HR Generalist that can work in a fast paced environment and is capable of building strong working relationships across all levels of our organisation and supporting all aspects of the employee life-cycle.

You will have a strong customer service focus and be responsive to meet the demands of a growing purpose-based organisation, as well as the drive and ability to adapt to change in an agile and productive manner. The Human Resources Officer will promote the alignment of HR practices with the Values and principles that define our organisation's culture.

About the role:

You will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the employee life-cycle, including but not limited to:

• Employee relations support to operational leaders including grievance, complaints, and workplace investigations.
• Partner with the managers and leaders in providing HR guidance, support and advice.
• Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) support- including by not limited to management of Workers Compensation claims and Return to Work Coordination (training provided, where required)
• Lead the development and management of our Learning Management System (training provided, where required)
• Serve as a point of contact for employee related inquiries and concerns regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
• Work with the internal Accounts Team and Human Resources Manager to ensure timely and accurate payment of wages (payroll training provided, where required)
• Support recruitment processes where required- conducting pre screens interviews and referee checking
• Monthly reporting on areas of responsibility and other HR administrative tasks, as required.
• Working collaboratively within the HR team so as to provide a seamless employee experience.

This role will work with stakeholders across NSW and may require minimal travel.

About You

• Cert IV or Diploma in Human Resources, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR roles, preferably in the child protection or disability sector
• Builds rapport with people and has strong interpersonal skills
• Operate as a resilient and collaborative team member
• Knowledge and understanding of the SCHADS award would be highly desirable
• Willingness to undertake and have verified a WWCC and National Police Check
